  23.   Can I tell you how many PC image packages won't recognise a JPEG file unless
  24. it is named .jpg? Say I have an image file named LogoAnim.045, and it is in
  25. JPEG format. I load up my image viewer. I pull up the file requester. I switch
  26. the wildcard pattern to *.*. I Double-click on LogoAnim.045. It says:

  30.   Rename the file to LogoAnim.jpg, and all is happy.

  32.   Same for my Windows image-conversion program. (I'm not going to name
  33. names). There are a few notable packages (Photoshop in particular) that
  34. are smart enough to figure out the real type of a file regardless of the
  35. extension, the the rest of them are really irritating the heck out of me.
